Mercy and Grace Ministries believes in adequate training and also assuring our volunteers are equipped to minister to the population of people we serve. We have a requirement that all volunteers go through the following process before serving in a prison or juvenile facility. Please start at step 1 and attend a M&G 101 class to learn all about what it takes to become a volunteer.
In Partnership with Western Seminary, Mercy and Grace offers two Certificate Programs for our volunteers or anyone who wants to dive deep into Seminary level classes.
Certificate in Ministry Foundations
Mercy and Grace in partnership with Western Seminary is offering a Certificate in Ministry Foundations. This track is a 5 month certificate program that gives the foundation of Biblical teaching and ministering with an overlay on how the lessons apply to serving in ministry.
Certificate in Shepherding & Discipling
Mercy and Grace in partnership with Western Seminary is offering a Certificate in Shepherding & Disciplining. This track is a 4 month certificate program that gives dealing with trauma, as well as ways in which we can disciple and shepherd those in pain. This is an excellent class that helps us walk out ministry by being ministry minded.
